Intro One of the great things about reading books, particularly the classics that have stood the test of time, is that the reader gets 1:1 access to the author, in a sense. We can see how they thought and expressed themselves. We can shortcut our own development by learning from the mistakes and lessons of others in the past. To see how they confronted challenges in their lives. What they’ve learned and decided was important enough to pass down in written form. It’s not just biographies that teach us this, either. Fyodor Dostoyevsky was a fiction writer but taught me more about good and evil than anything else I’ve read or heard.
